Opening in August 2027, King’s College Wimbledon Ho Chi Minh City is part of a distinguished international family of schools, founded on the heritage of King’s College School, Wimbledon, located in the United Kingdom. We offer an authentic King’s education for boys and girls aged 2-18, combining academic excellence with strong values, a rich co-curricular programme and a supportive, globally minded community.
In 1829, the school was founded by Royal Charter, as the junior department of King’s College London (5th best university in the UK according to the QS World University rankings 2026). It was first based in the Strand before moving to Wimbledon in 1897, where it established its enduring home.
In the years that followed, King’s developed its own identity and structure, including formal separation from King’s College London in 1908 - 1909 and the establishment of the Junior School on the same campus in 1912.
The school lived through the upheavals of two World Wars and emerged with its sense of purpose intact. In the decades since, it has continued to renew and strengthen its offering, sustaining academic distinction while nurturing an exceptionally broad and vibrant school life.
